How it gets made
From a quiet idea in the workshop to a lamp glowing on your shelf — here’s what happens after you order.
You Order
Pick the lamp that calls to you. Or message me about a custom build — Queen, Engineer, Newborn, hive scene, anything from the universe.
I Prep The Materials
Premium epoxy resin, hand-selected hardwood base, miniature Xenomorph sculpts hand-painted in detail. About 1 week.
I Pour By Hand
Every layer poured, cured, sanded, and finished by me. The acid green is mixed pigment by pigment until it glows right. 2-3 weeks of slow craft.
It Ships To You
Packaged like a relic from the Nostromo archives. Foam-cradled, double-boxed. Delivery 7-14 business days.
A letter from the workshop
The maker
Hi, I’m Terra Satoji.
I’ve been obsessed with sci-fi horror creatures since I was way too young to be watching Ridley Scott’s 1979 cut. I read the Dark Horse comics under the blanket. Memorized “In space, no one can hear you scream” before I could properly spell it. Wore out the VHS of the original Predator. AVP, Prey, Romulus — I’m there opening night, every time.
Years later, I started pouring resin to keep my hands busy after long workdays. The first time I saw acid green cure under workshop lights — that exact LV-426 atmosphere glow — I knew exactly what I wanted to make. Then came the Predator pieces in thermal red. Facehuggers frozen mid-leap in clear resin. The Offspring hybrid from Romulus. Every creature in the universe is on the table, eventually.
Every lamp here is my love letter to H.R. Giger and Stan Winston. To Ridley’s atmosphere. To Cameron’s hive. To Schwarzenegger in the mud. To every Dark Horse panel that ever scared me, every AVP crossover I read twice, every trailer I rewound. Every creature silhouette is hand-placed. Every layer is poured by me alone, in my home workshop. Never outsourced, never mass-produced, never a single one identical to another.
If you’re a fan of the genre, you already know what this is. Thank you for letting me make one for you.
Never mass produced. Never outsourced. Never the same twice.
Each lamp takes around 14 hours of hands-on work across 3-5 weeks. I pour a small batch every month — never more than I can finish by hand, alone, in the workshop.
What I promise you
- If you don’t love your lamp the moment you light it, send it back within 60 days. No questions, no hard feelings.
- If your lamp ever cracks, the LED fails, or anything wears under normal use, I’ll repair or replace it. Lifetime. Real warranty from a real person.
- The wait is real — 3-5 weeks before I ship, plus 7-14 days delivery. I’ll send workshop updates along the way so you’re never wondering.
- Every piece is numbered. Yours is genuinely the only one like it — no two pours from this workshop are identical.
Made for the moments that matter

How are these lamps designed?
How are these lamps designed?
Every design starts the same way: a long night, a stack of comics or DVDs, and a rewatch of something from the genre. I sketch the composition by hand, source the right miniature sculpts (Xenomorph, Predator, hybrid, facehugger — whichever creature the lamp calls for), then plan the resin pours so the atmosphere wraps the figures the way it does in the films. Acid green for the hive pieces. Thermal red for the Predator pours. Bio-amber for the Romulus hybrid. Each one is its own composition. Never copy-pasted. Never repeated identically.
How long does it take to receive my lamp?
How long does it take to receive my lamp?
Every lamp is hand-poured to order, and I take great pride in making sure you get the highest possible quality — not factory-line speed.
Once you place your order, there’s a 1-week prep phase while I source premium resin, the hardwood base, and the miniature Xenomorph sculpts. Then 2-3 weeks of actual pouring — each layer poured, cured, sanded, and finished by hand.
After the pour is done, your lamp is securely packaged and shipped. Delivery typically takes 7-14 business days, depending on your location.
Total: 3-5 weeks from order to your hands.
I appreciate your patience. This timeline is what lets me keep the work truly handmade rather than mass-produced. Every piece is poured with care, and the goal is something you’ll still love a decade from now.
Can I request a custom design (Queen, Predator, hybrid, facehugger)?
Can I request a custom design (Queen, Predator, hybrid, facehugger)?
Yes — and these are some of my favorite pieces to make.
I’ve done Queens with the egg sac, Engineer tributes, Newborn from Resurrection, the Offspring hybrid from Romulus, classic Predator and Yautja variants, jungle Predator with the dreadlocks, facehugger close-ups frozen in clear resin, full hive dioramas, AVP crossover scenes. If it’s from the genre, I can probably build it.
Custom builds take a bit longer (usually 5-7 weeks) and run 25-40% above standard lamp pricing depending on the sculpt complexity. Message me at the email at the bottom of the page or hit the “Message the workshop” button on this page and tell me what you have in mind. I’ll send back sketches and a quote within a few days.
How does the lamp power on, and how bright is it?
How does the lamp power on, and how bright is it?
The LED module is built into the hardwood base — warm, low-heat, soft-touch power switch, USB-C cable included. Plug it into any standard USB-C wall adapter (or your laptop, or a power bank for travel).
The brightness is calibrated to feel like the actual atmosphere of LV-426 — deep, immersive acid green that fills a small room without being harsh. Bright enough to read by if you’re close, atmospheric enough to set the mood for a franchise rewatch. It will not light up a large room like a regular lamp — that’s by design. It’s a display piece, not a desk lamp.
What is the lamp made of and how do I care for it?
What is the lamp made of and how do I care for it?
Each lamp is hand-poured premium epoxy resin set on a solid hardwood base (walnut burl, mahogany, or oak depending on the design). The Xenomorph figures are detailed miniature sculpts, hand-painted and embedded into the pour. The LED is a warm, low-heat module with a USB-C cable and soft-touch power.
Care is simple: dust with a soft dry cloth, avoid direct sunlight to preserve the acid green color over the years, and don’t submerge in water. The resin is durable epoxy meant to last decades. This is heirloom-grade work.
What if I don’t love it?
What if I don’t love it?
60-day satisfaction guarantee on every order, no questions asked. If your lamp doesn’t feel right when it arrives — for any reason — reach out and I’ll make it right with a replacement or full refund.
There’s also a lifetime craftsmanship warranty: if your lamp ever cracks, the LED fails, or anything wears under normal use, I’ll repair or replace it. No warranty cards. No fine print. Just an email to me with a photo and we’ll sort it out.
How is this different from sci-fi creature merch on Amazon, Etsy, or eBay?
How is this different from sci-fi creature merch on Amazon, Etsy, or eBay?
Most “handmade” creature lamps on big marketplaces are mass-produced from a couple of factories in Asia, dropshipped under different maker names, and resold with massive markup. The resin is thin, the LEDs dim within months, and the “maker” is a brand identity with no real person behind it.
Mine is the opposite. Every lamp is poured by me, in my home workshop. I post process videos of every single batch. Every creature sculpt — Xenomorph, Predator, hybrid, facehugger — is hand-placed by me. Not factory-stamped. Each piece is numbered. Each piece is a one-of-one.
You feel the difference the moment you open the box. The depth of the color. The weight of the wood. The detail you only get when one person made one piece with intent.
I want to gift this. Do you offer gift packaging or notes?
I want to gift this. Do you offer gift packaging or notes?
Every lamp arrives in a custom black gift box with foam cradle, a numbered certificate of pour, and a printed card from me. You can add a free handwritten gift note from you at checkout (up to 100 words).
If you’d like to ship directly to the recipient, you’ll get the digital order confirmation while the package ships to them — including tracking. I see a lot of birthdays, anniversaries, fan-of-the-franchise milestones, and “they finally watched all the films” gifts. Honored to be part of those moments.
